Did you know sushi originated from people storing their fish in rice? When they ate the fish and had the rice they actually thought the rice was good. Then they ate fish and rice which ended up in seaweed and now we have sushi. Now, I’ll be teaching you how to make a great sushi roll called California Roll for lunch or a snack.

The first item is a Makisu and a knife. Then you need a chopped up cucumber and avocado. Then get 2 cups of rice, a pinch of sesame seeds,8 pieces of imitation crab, and a piece of sushi seaweed. Also, don’t forget to wash your hands every time you put an ingredient.

Start by putting the seaweed on the Makisu. Then, place the rice and press it or flatten it. After, spread your pinch of sesame seeds and flip it over. When you have flipped it over put your crab and cucumber. After put your avocado and use the Makisu to roll it. Finally when you’ve rolled it cut it into sushi pieces(you should cut it into 1-inch pieces).

Now that you have made a couple of delicious rolls, you can eat them. When you have already finished the rolls you may use this recipe again for another delicious snack. As a famous restaurant critic once said,

“Cooking is at child’s play and adult joy. And cooking done with care is an act of love.” -Craig Claiborne
